Who We Are

Our Mission Statement

The mission of Byja Charitable Alliance is to provide comprehensive holistic supportive services to minority communities, especially those affected by HIV, STIs, and hepatitis. We aim to improve our communities’ health and empower all individuals to take active roles in maintaining their health through education, routine engagement with healthcare professionals to prevent negative outcomes, and ongoing support where needed.

Overall Goals

Eliminating Healthcare Disparities: Strengthen minority communities’ awareness and utilization of healthcare services to diagnose, treat, and manage HIV, STIs, viral hepatitis, and other chronic medical conditions.
Health Education and Awareness: Promote awareness about the risks associated with sexually transmitted diseases and other diagnoses that are prevalent in the community through educational outreaches, academic conferences, and community health events.
Community Engagement: Engage communities in adopting healthy lifestyles and improving overall health literacy.

Us

Testing and Treatment

We provide free and confidential HIV, STI, and viral hepatitis testing where possible, and facilitate access to treatment and management of these diseases as well as other chronic medical conditions.

Expanded Services Offered to Patients

We offer additional services such as dental and eye care, mental health and counseling services, nutrition education, financial planning, and more, which are crucial for truly holistic health management.

Outreach Initiatives

We conduct various outreach activities, including offering mobile and office-based testing to reach vulnerable populations, participating in health fairs and community events, and providing media appearances and public speaking on health-related topics.

Monthly Pledge

Your monthly pledge will enable BCA to hire more and administrative staff to manage and coordinate our expanding affiliate clinics and referral network. Additionally, funding will support the hiring of clinical team members to enhance our capacity to provide direct care and support to patients.

Single Contribution

We aim to support patients who are unable to afford primary care costs. Your single contribution can help cover the cost of essential medications for the management of chronic conditions, facilitate access to basic laboratory tests, and ensure that financial barriers do not prevent these vulnerable patients from accessing necessary healthcare services.
